Mona J. Jeffery

Mona J. Jeffery is one of the founding partners of Jeffery & Grosfeld, LLP, which was formed in November, 1999. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Social Ecology from the University of California, Irvine, in 1980. She subsequently attended Western State University, College of Law and obtained her Juris Doctor degree in 1986. She was admitted to the California Bar that same year.

Once receiving her degree, Ms. Jeffery began practicing with an insurance defense firm and has remained in the insurance defense field for the past 35 years. She is admitted to practice before all courts of the State of California and the U.S. District Court. She is a member of the Orange County Bar Association, the Counsel for Ethical Billing, DRI, as a member of the Lawyers Professional and Ethics Committee, The Association of Southern California Defense Counsel, as well as a member of the Madison’s Who’s Who of Professionals.

Ms. Jeffery has been a member of the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance. The Alliance is comprised of insurance companies, litigation and risk managers, claims professionals, and attorneys who work to further the highest standards of litigation management in their client’s defense.

Ms. Jeffery successfully obtained a favorable ruling from the California Supreme Court in the case of Weiner vs, Southcoast Childcare Center (2004) 12 Cal.Rptr.3d 615 regarding the issue of foreseeability of criminal conduct by a property owner.
