Robert Grosfeld

Robert Grosfeld is one of the founding partners of Jeffery & Grosfeld, LLP in November, 1999. Having completed his undergraduate work at UCLA where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1976, he obtained his Juris Doctorate in 1979 after attending Southwestern University School of Law. He remained in the greater Los Angeles area and began practicing criminal defense, personal injury, and family law with the law firm of Gelman, Grosfeld & Termini. In those areas of practice, he gained extensive courtroom experience. By 1987, his practice moved into the insurance defense arena where he initially defended bodily injury claims. For the past 25 years he has focused on defending general contractors, subcontractors, and product manufacturers in construction defect litigation.

During the 10 years preceding the formation of Jeffery & Grosfeld, LLP, Mr. Grosfeld was a Senior Trial Attorney with two in-house insurance defense firms where he handled complex matters including construction defect, product liability, wrongful death, and severe personal injury cases, as well as ERISA cases. He has obtained extensive experience in the defense of product manufacturers, including window and fiberglass bath/shower products, with first-hand knowledge of the manufacturing processes.

Mr. Grosfeld is a member of the California Bar Association and the Orange County Bar Association. He is licensed to practice in all State courts as well as the U.S. District Court. He is also a member of The Association of Southern California Defense Counsel.
